1. What we collect

When you register as a guest at a Moments AI event, we collect:

  • A single selfie photo, used only to extract a face signature for matching.
  • Your phone number (optional), used only to send you a WhatsApp link to your gallery.
  • Metadata: the event you attended and the timestamp of your registration.

We also process the event photos uploaded by the event organiser to find photos in which you appear.

2. How we use your data

  • Your selfie is processed to generate a mathematical face signature (embedding). The selfie itself is permanently deleted within 60 seconds of processing.
  • The face signature is compared against event photos to identify photos you appear in.
  • If you provide your phone number, we send you a single WhatsApp message with a link to your personal gallery once photos are matched.
  • We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party for marketing purposes.

3. Data retention

  • Selfie photos: deleted within 60 seconds of face-signature extraction.
  • Face signatures: retained for the duration of the event, then deleted when the event organiser deletes the event or requests erasure.
  • Phone numbers: retained for the duration of the event.
  • Event photos: retained as uploaded by the event organiser. Moments AI does not independently retain copies beyond what is needed to serve the gallery.

4. Your rights

You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time. To do so, contact us at majd.andraos@gmail.com with the event name and the phone number or approximate time you registered. We will erase your face signature, phone number, and gallery link within 48 hours.

5. Third-party services

  • AWS Rekognition — used for face detection and matching. Images are sent to AWS servers in the Middle East region.
  • AWS S3 — used to store event photos and gallery images.
  • Twilio / WhatsApp — used to deliver your gallery link via WhatsApp. Only your phone number and the gallery URL are shared.

6. Consent

Before taking your selfie, you are shown a consent screen that explains this policy in plain language. By proceeding, you consent to the processing described above. Consent is voluntary — you may leave the event without registering.
